Important Communication Through Text Marketing

Image
Communicating is key to running a business, whether that be your communication within the workplace or communication to your clients. It used to be that most workplace communication came through business meetings, phone calls, and emails if you were just sharing dates and times but not for important conversations. Now, all that seems to have changed as texting has become a much more important part of our work environment and constant communication. Communication in the office In the office, things won’t get done unless everyone is communicating. It is definitely too much work for one person to do everything, which means all the employees need to communicate as if they were one person. This is especially true in small businesses. Being able to quickly communicate information through text is important. Most people don’t even check their voicemail anymore, so it isn’t worth trying to leave a message if you can’t reach someone. If you need to get a message read immediately, sending it ...

G Flex vs Galaxy Round: Who Really Won?

Image
The fight to the top has been tough for smartphone manufacturers, but it isn’t over yet. It will never be over. The fight to always be on top will continue until we have some other great device that can be used to make phone calls and give us access to everything on the internet. The most recent race has been creating curvy and flexible smartphones. In the race to provide the most flexible smartphone, it seems Samsung may have won. Well, at the very least, it won the battle. New smartphone from LG can heal - G Flex LG has just released a curvy smartphone, according to ABC News. It isn’t your average smartphone though. LG created the phone to curve with your face. Instead of having a flat phone that makes it either hard to hear, speak, or both, the phone curves to give you optimal hearing and talking room. In fact, LG promises the sound of the phone increases making it twice as loud. Though it would be nice if it were completely flexible, this feature hasn’t quite been perfected in ...

The Smell Of Success: Smartphone Gadgets

Image
Your smartphone can do practically anything now and days. With one small device, you have all the knowledge in the world. It can talk back to you, show you beautiful things, teach you stuff, send messages for you, update you on emails, and even more. What can’t it do? Well, until recently, it couldn’t give you the best of smells, but that will all change with a recent app development. An accessory of course You may be asking yourself how a smartphone could possibly release different smells without the technology being already built in to the device. The truth is, it is actually an accessory. It is a white gadget that goes into the headphone socket and uses an app to determine when the smell is released. It blends in with the phone, more or less, making it almost like it is part of the phone instead of an add-on gadget. With this extra feature, you can smell anytime you get a notification on your phone. The gadget was developed in Japan and is being distributed there currently. It s...

Text marketing: Know the Laws

Image
With so much regulation from our government, it is essential that you know all laws associated with marketing before you move forward with it. Any business can be held liable if there are problems associated with messages, which could get really ugly really fast. You can see what happened when the banks didn’t follow the rules, and more than likely, your small business can’t afford to pay out a settlement like the banks did. So, what are the laws associated with the texting market? Ban on texts without permission According to the FCC, you are not legally allowed to send an automatic text without first having permission from the consumer. To get through this, it is good to start by offering a coupon of some sort to all customers who sign up for text alerts. This may be one reason why so many businesses avoid the texting market. If your texts are valuable and are something the customer wants to receive, you shouldn’t have any problem getting them to sign up. The other concern is th...

Waiting on the Galaxy S4: Don’t wait for mobile marketing

Image
There’s nothing we get more excited about than a new update to our phones. More often than not, they make the phones more user-friendly and overall better for all our needs. Even if it takes some time getting used to it, we usually like the updates. People with the Samsung Galaxy S4 have been able to get an update, but it isn’t available in the US yet. Your business may be able to take full advantage of mobile devices if paying attention to these kinds of updates. Updates being offered to some According to CNet, the Galaxy S4 has gotten an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update all over the world. Unfortunately, only the international version of the phone is currently being updated. The update will allow the phone to have faster speeds and sharper colors. It will probably take a few weeks for this update to reach the US, which means Americans will have to wait longer than usual to get what they want. Americans are so used to getting everything they want right away that it comes as a littl...

Rumors Spread that Apple iMessage isn’t Private

Image
After quite a beating over the new iPhone, between lower sales than expected, the blue screen of death, and complaints of motion sickness, Apple is getting even more pressure. People assume that bad things will turn even worse and will listen to any rumors floating their way. The new Apple rumor floating around is that the company will read all your iMessage conversations, turning a lot of people off from the phone and iMessage technology. Apple claims that isn’t true, and without any proof, there’s really no way to tell anyway. What is iMessage? According to iPhoneFaq, the iMessage is an alternative to texting. It is basically the ability to send messages, whether texts or multimedia messages, through the internet instead of on a texting plan. It is only allowed to be sent from iPhone to iPhone, so you can’t text someone without Apple technology unless you have a texting plan. iMessage is just like instant messaging and helps you communicate long or short messages. One feature peo...

Not So Surprising News From Apple On iPhone 5C

Image
It was easily predicted that Apple wouldn’t do very well trying to sell a cheaper version of the iPhone by releasing the 5c. This phone was intended to be sold to customers who could not afford a more expensive iPhone or wanted to buy something cheaper for their kids. Mostly, Apple was trying to hit foreign markets with a cheaper iPhone option. However, of course, it was not successful. Why will nobody buy the iPhone 5c? The iPhone 5c didn’t do well because of a few reasons. First, it was still more expensive than many other smartphones, even if it was cheaper than the iPhone 5s. Parents trying to get a cheap smartphone for their kids would rather pay almost nothing than a hundred dollars or so for an iPhone. Alternatively, if they are going to pay for a smartphone, they’d rather just get the nicer one. People in other countries were targets, but the same situation applied. If they could afford a nicer phone, they wanted the iPhone 5s instead of the 5c, and those who couldn’t aff...

Latest And Greatest: Smartwatch Phase

Image
As we’ve discussed before, the difference between making it and breaking it for big cell phone companies is having the next best thing. And even if you didn’t invent it yourself, you still have to offer it. That is exactly why smartphones all have similar new features and why all the cell phone companies seem to be running to release new smart watches. Keeping up with the Joneses Normally, keeping up with the Joneses has a negative connotation to it, but in the smartphone manufacturing world, it isn’t so bad. It just means creating better technology to get more sales. According to the LA Times, there is a new Sony smartwatch available and a Google smartwatch isn’t that far behind. Instead of sitting by and waiting to see whether or not people actually like the smartwatch before creating technology similar to it, these manufacturers have just jumped right on the bandwagon. After all, What could go wrong with a giant, bulky watch that doesn’t have nearly as many capabilities as you w...

HTC One Max: Keeping It All In One Place

Image
With technology getting better and better every day, you would think you could get everything you want in one device. Instead, we have to own a computer, a tablet, and a smartphone. It ends up costing you a lot of money to own all three, and it is really annoying to keep track of them. Well, fortunately, the HTC One max might be the solution to your biggest problem. Instead of buying all three, you can probably get away with just one. What’s in a name? Everything The name “One” is definitely an indication of an all-in-one kind of device, according to the Sydney Morning Herald. The screen is almost seven inches wide, meaning it is almost the size of a tablet but can also be used as a phone. The reason for such a large phone is simple. The phone has become a lifeline for many people and the main source of internet usage more recently. HTC wanted to create a phone that would allow consumers to easily access and browse the internet as well as replace many other devices used in your hom...
